Landscapes around Thakhek were really amazing and everyday was a little bit different too: rice fields, mountains, forest, waterfalls and one truly amazing cave with an underground river!

Les paysages autour de Thakhek étaient vraiment magnifiques et chaque jour un peu différents: rizières, montagnes, forêts, cascades et une incryable grotte avec une rivière souterraine!

One day we rode the bikes on the road towards Vietnam and a few kilometers before the actual border we followed a sign saying "hot springs" but we could not it. We stopped ans asked an old man who took us through a field of chili to a little river. The water in the river was cool but in some spots there was boiling water coming through and the sand on the bottom was warm! It was so cool to swim in there: natural hot springs at its best!

Un jour on roulait en direction du Vietnam et quelques kilomètres avant la frontière nous avons suivi un panneau qui indiquait " sources d'eaux chaudes" mais on les trouvaient pas. Alors on s'est arrêté et on a demandé à un viel homme qui nous a fait traverser un champ de piment pour arriver à une petite rivière. L'eau de la rivière était assez fraîche mais à certains endroits elle bouillait et le sable était chaud! C'était vraiment cool de se baigner dans de vraies sourches d'eaux chaudes!

After a short walk in a beautiful forest we got to these amazing twin falls and relaxed 

The last two  days it felt like we were going more and more into the wild....wild rivers, very small  villages...we were getting closer to Konglor Cave.

Les deux derniers jours on avait l'impression de s'enfoncer de plus en plus dans la campagne sauvage....des rivières déchainées, des tout petits villages....on s'approchait de la grotte de Konglor.

We rode right through this beautiful this big thunderstorm...and it was awesome! Nothing like feeling the pain of the rain drops on your skin while you can't see anything through your helmet!  Great way to feel alive!

On a roulé à travers ce superbe orage...et c'était trop bien! Il n'y a rien de tel que de sentir la douleur causée par la pluie sur la peau en essayant en même temps de voir derrière le casque! Super façon de se sentir en vie!

That area really gets a lot of rain and the locals were planting rice everywhere!

Il pleut énormément dans coin là et les locaux plantaient du riz de partout!

For our last night of the moto loop we enjoyed ourselves at a beautiful resort on the riverside, had a beautiful bottle of red wine (or two) and a delicious meal! what a treat!

Pour notre dernière soirée du tour en moto on en a profité pour passer la nuit dans un resort en bord de rivière, en buvant une bouteille de vin rouge français (ou deux) et un délicieux repas! On s'est fait plaisir!

The last day we went to visit the INCREDIBLE Konglor Cave! What an amazing place created by nature! They take you on a boat on the river and into the cave. Shortly you are in the dark and while the boat is going at full speed you use torches to look around to realise the height of the cave and see some stalactites...

Le dernier jour nous sommes allés voir l'INCROYABLE  Grotte de Konglor! Quel endroit magnifique créé par la nature! Ils vous emmenent en bateau sur la rivière et dans la grotte. Peu de temps après il fait complètement soir et étant toujours sur la bateau navigant à toute vitesse on se sert de torches pour se rendre compte de la hauteur de la grotte et pour voir les stalactites....

After a moment you stop on a beach in the cave and go walk to see some stalactites and other cave formations with some lights show, it was truly wonderful. Then you go back on the boat and exit the cave before returning through it on your way back to the start. What a crazy adventure and truly beautiful!

Après un petit moment on s'est arrêtés à une plage dans la grotte et on s'est baladé pour voir des stalactites et autres formations rocheuses éclairées de plusieurs couleurs, c'était vraiment fantastique. Ensuite nous sommes retournés sur le bateau, on est sortis de la grotte avant d'y repasser en repartant vers le départ. Quelle aventure de folie, et quelle beauté!
